How payments work on SellPass
Buyers pay you directly into your own Stripe, PayPal or crypto account. Here's how money and fees flow.
You get paid directly
SellPass never holds your money. You connect your own payment accounts, and buyers pay straight into them:
- Stripe: cards, Apple Pay and Google Pay, paid into your Stripe balance.
- PayPal: paid into your PayPal account.
- Crypto (Cryptomo): BTC, ETH, LTC, SOL, USDT, USDC and more, paid to your Cryptomo wallet.
- Manual payments: your own instructions, such as a bank transfer, and you confirm the order by hand.
Payouts to your bank follow each provider's normal schedule. SellPass has no payout delay or reserve of its own.
What happens at checkout
- The buyer chooses a product and clicks buy.
- They enter their email, answer any checkout fields, apply a coupon and choose a payment method.
- They get an invoice page and pay with the chosen provider.
- When the provider confirms the payment, the order is delivered automatically and the buyer gets an email.
An unpaid invoice expires after a while (card payments sooner, crypto and manual payments later) and any reserved stock goes back on sale.
Platform fees
Depending on your plan, SellPass charges a percentage of each paid order. See Plans and platform fees.
- With Stripe Connect, the fee is taken automatically from each payment.
- Otherwise, fees are added to your balance in Plan & billing and you pay them there, or prepay with a top-up.
