Test your checkout and take manual payments

The Manual payment / Test checkout method has two modes.

Test mode: simulate payments

Use this before launch to check the whole buyer experience without spending money.

1. Go to Payment methods → Manual payment / Test checkout.
2. Set Mode to Test: buyers can simulate payment, tick Enable at checkout and save.
3. Open your store in a private browser window and buy a product with your own email.
4. On the invoice page, click the button to simulate the payment.
5. Check the delivery on the order page, the email you received and the order in Orders.

Important: turn test mode off before you share your store, otherwise real buyers could "pay" without paying.

Live mode: manual payments

Use this for bank transfers, gift cards or any method SellPass doesn't integrate.

1. Set Mode to Live: show my instructions, I confirm orders.
2. Write your payment instructions (account details, reference to use, how long confirmation takes).
3. Enable and save.

The buyer sees your instructions on the invoice page. When the money arrives, open the order and click Mark paid & deliver. Manual invoices stay open longer than card invoices so buyers have time to pay.
