Sell files and digital downloads

Use the File download type for e-books, templates, presets, fonts, courses or installers.

Set it up

1. Create a product with type File download.
2. Under Delivery, upload your file. It is stored privately and never has a public address.
3. Set Downloads per link (0 = unlimited) and Link valid for (minutes).
4. Save.

What the buyer gets

After payment, the order page and the delivery email contain a download link that stops working after the time and download limit you set. If it expires, the buyer opens their order in the customer portal and clicks Get a fresh download link.

Update the file

Upload a new file on the same product. New buyers get the new version, and past buyers get it the next time they request a fresh link.

Tip: large file? Many sellers deliver a link to their own cloud storage instead, using a Service or Serials product, or the post-purchase instructions.
