Pre-orders and restock waitlists
Keep selling when you're out of stock, or let buyers ask to be notified when it's back.
When a keys product reaches 0 stock, you can choose what happens.
Option 1: restock waitlist (default)
Buyers see Notify me instead of the buy button and leave their email. When you add stock, everyone on the list is emailed automatically. The product page in your dashboard shows how many people are waiting.
Add an optional note such as Restocked every Friday to set expectations.
Option 2: take pre-orders
Tick Take pre-orders when sold out. Buyers can pay while stock is 0. When you add keys, the waiting orders are delivered automatically, oldest first.
On the order page, pre-ordered items show Pre-order: delivered automatically when you add stock.
Tip: only take pre-orders when you are sure you can restock soon. Long waits after payment lead to refunds and disputes.
