Import your store from WooCommerce, Sellix, SellAuth or Shoppy
Bring your categories, products, stock, images, coupons and customers across in minutes, safely and reversibly.
Moving to SellPass doesn't mean starting again. The importer copies your catalogue from your old platform.
What comes across
- Products with prices, descriptions and options,
- serial keys and accounts, stored encrypted,
- active coupons and customer emails.
File, webhook and subscription products arrive as private: upload the file or finish the setup, then publish them. Past orders stay on the old platform. Images come across from WooCommerce; from other platforms, add them on each product.
Import from WooCommerce
The import uses WooCommerce's built-in API, so you don't need a plugin for the basics. It brings across:
- categories, including sub-categories,
- products with their title, description (formatting kept), short description, price, sale price, options (variations) and URL slug,
- tags, images (up to 5 per product) and SEO titles and meta descriptions,
- coupons and customer names and emails.
1. Create a read-only API key
- In WordPress, open WooCommerce → Settings → Advanced → REST API and click Add key.
- Enter a description such as SellPass import, set Permissions to Read, and click Generate API key.
- Copy the Consumer key (
ck_…) and Consumer secret (cs_…). WooCommerce shows them only once.
2. (Optional) Install the SEO plugin
WooCommerce hides the titles and descriptions saved by Yoast SEO, All in One SEO, SEOPress and The SEO Framework from its API. To bring those across too:
- On the import page, choose WooCommerce and click download the plugin.
- In WordPress, go to Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin, choose the file, then Install and Activate.
The plugin is read-only and changes nothing on your site. Rank Math titles work without it. Deactivate it after the import.
3. Start the import
- Go to Import store and choose WooCommerce.
- Enter your store address (for example
https://yourstore.com) and paste the two keys. - Choose how products are delivered: manual delivery, or license keys / accounts if you'll add keys afterwards. This can't be changed later. Downloadable products always arrive as file products.
- Click Start import.
Products appear within a minute or two. Images are downloaded in the background and show up over the next few minutes, and the import page shows their progress.
How products are mapped
| In WooCommerce | On SellPass |
|---|---|
| Published, visible in catalog | Public |
| Published, hidden or search-only | Unlisted (only by link) |
| Draft, pending or private | Private |
| Sale price with an end date | Flash sale with countdown |
| Sale price without an end date | The product's price |
| Variable product | One product with options |
| Grouped or external/affiliate products | Skipped |
Each product goes into its most specific category, or its primary category when you use Yoast or Rank Math with the plugin.
When you're done, delete the API key under WooCommerce → Settings → Advanced → REST API.
If it doesn't connect
- "rejected the API key": check that you copied both keys and that the key has Read permission.
- "answered with a web page instead of data": a security plugin, firewall (for example Cloudflare's bot protection) or maintenance mode is blocking the API. Allow
/wp-json/wc/, or use the CSV export below. - "must use https": WooCommerce only accepts API keys over a secure connection.
WooCommerce CSV export instead
In WordPress, go to Products → Export, tick Export custom meta (this includes SEO titles), and download the CSV. On the import page choose CSV files and upload it. The file is recognised automatically, and categories, tags, images, options and SEO fields come across in the same way.
Products that already exist here are skipped, so running the import twice is safe.
Import with an API key
- Go to Import store.
- Choose where you're coming from and enter its details:
| Platform | What you need | Where to find it |
|---|---|---|
| SellAuth | Shop ID and API key | SellAuth → Account → API (create a key); the shop ID is in Settings |
| Sellix | API key, store name (optional) | Sellix → Settings → Security → API key |
| Shoppy | API key | Shoppy → Settings → API key |
| WooCommerce | Store address, consumer key and secret | See Import from WooCommerce above |
- Click Start import.
The key is stored encrypted only while the import runs, then deleted. Use a read-only key if your old platform offers one.
Import from CSV files
Download the templates on the import page: products & stock, coupons and customers. Fill them in and upload them. Put one stock item per row, or several lines in one cell. Rows with the same title are merged into one product.
If Sellix is offline or your platform isn't listed, export CSV files from it and use them with the templates.
While it runs
The import page refreshes by itself. Large stores take a few minutes, and you can leave and come back. When it's done you'll see Import finished with notes on anything that needs your attention. Click Review products to check them.
Undo an import
Changed your mind? Click Undo this import. It works as long as nothing has sold from the imported products.
Fee-free period
Import a minimum number of products and you pay no per-order fees for an introductory period. The import page shows the current offer.
