Connect a custom domain
Run your store on your own domain, like yourbrand.com or shop.yourbrand.com, with free automatic https.
Custom domains are available on paid plans. If your plan doesn't include them, Custom domain shows Custom domains are a paid feature. See Plans and platform fees.
What you need
A domain you own, from any registrar (Namecheap, GoDaddy, Cloudflare, Hostinger…). Your nameservers stay where they are: you only add a few DNS records.
You can use:
- a root domain, like
yourbrand.com, or - a subdomain, like
shop.yourbrand.com(easiest if your main website is elsewhere).
Step 1: enter your domain
- Go to Custom domain.
- Type the domain without
https://or a slash, for exampleyourbrand.com, and save. - SellPass shows the DNS records you need to add.
Step 2: add the DNS records
Sign in where you manage your domain's DNS (usually where you bought it), open DNS settings or DNS records, and add exactly what the page shows:

Tips for the Name / Host field:
- Enter it exactly as shown. A few providers want the full name instead, such as
_sellpass.yourbrand.com. If yours adds the domain automatically, use the short form. - For a root domain, delete any other A or AAAA records for
@, such as the registrar's parking page. - If your provider won't accept the CNAME for a subdomain, add an A record pointing to the IP address shown instead.
- Cloudflare users: set the records to DNS only (grey cloud) until the domain is live. Afterwards you can turn the proxy back on with SSL mode Full.
Step 3: wait for the checks
The Progress box shows three checks:
- Ownership confirmed: the TXT record was found.
- Domain points to your store: the A or CNAME record works.
- Secure connection ready: we add the domain to the server and issue its free SSL certificate. Nothing to do on your side.
New DNS records usually work within minutes, sometimes up to a few hours. Click Check now at any time. We also re-check every 10 minutes and email you when your domain is live.
When it's live
You'll see Your store is live on yourbrand.com: secure (https) and connected. All your store links now use your domain, and your free address redirects to it.
Keep the DNS records in place. Removing them takes your domain offline. To stop using the domain, click Disconnect domain first.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | Fix |

| Ownership not confirmed after an hour | Check the TXT name. Many providers add the domain automatically, so enter only _sellpass |
| Domain shows another website | An old A/AAAA record or parking page is still there: delete it |
| Stuck on "Secure connection" | Usually solves itself within an hour. With Cloudflare, make sure the records are DNS only |
| Works without www but not with www | Add the optional www CNAME record |
